Our Services

Combining a welcoming canine hydrotherapy pool, a well-stocked pet shop
and a professional and dedicated owner who's passionate about her job,
Paddy's Pool invites your dog to enjoy the best hydrotherapy experience in the area.

The Hydrotherapy Pool

The pool is 15ft long, 8ft wide and 4ft deep. To ensure maximum benefits and comfort, it is heated between 29-31 degrees Celsius.

Resistance jets in the pool help build strength and stamina.

The pool is raised off the floor and a ramp allows dogs easy access in and out of the water.

The water is chemically treated with chlorine and filtered to maintain
the required highest standards of hygiene. We check the water quality
throughout the day to keep all levels as they should.

Hydrotherapy Session

Sessions last 45 minutes and are charge at £30 per session.

Your first visit will take approximately 1 hour, allowing time for
your dog to become familiar with its new surroundings and myself.
Whilst all dogs are equally taken care of for maximum benefit and enjoyment during their hydrotherapy session,
anxious and nervous dogs are given extra time to ensure
they feel as relaxed as can be.

A tailor-made programme will be specifically put together
for your dog, depending on its needs.

Muscle mass is electronically measured and recorded. This process
is repeated every 10 sessions to monitor changes in muscle tone.

Before entering the pool, your dog will be showered to remove
any potential loose dirt and/or loose hair before being fitted
with a buoyancy/life jacket.

Once the session is completed, your dog will again be showered.
A dryer is available and free towels are also provided.

Hydrotherapy sessions require your vet's referral    >>click to download our 'referral form' >>

  Looking forward to meeting you

Paddy's Pool first opened in 2007 and is now run by myself,
Tina Bird, the centre's new owner since June 2015.

My involvement with Paddy's Pool started when
my dog Milo required canine hydrotherapy treatment
following 'cruciate ligament' surgery.

When, by chance, the opportunity came for me to acquire
Paddy's Pool, I did so without any hesitation whilst gaining
full qualifications in canine hydrotherapy.
Of course, my Animal First Aid is also kept up-to-date.

I'm truly passionate about my job.
Nothing gives me more pleasure than being part of
the recovery programme of every dog that visits Paddy's Pool.
And as I've always wanted the very best for my own dog,
the same goes for all other dogs I treat!

Our Pet Shop

Our 'pet shop' is located in our reception area.
Being the only pet supplier in Milford on Sea,
we stock a good range of dog toys, treats, high quality
Ruff and Tumble drying coats and a variety of accessories.

We can also supply most brand of dog and cat food.

Should you need anything specific for your pet,
please call us or email us and we'll do our very best
to meet your requirements.
